3 SOL in, 30 SOL out
Why early supply matters so much.
The curve rewards early. On a bonding curve, the first SOL in buys a huge share of the supply. 3 SOL at the start can be 10% of the coin. 3 SOL at 80% progress is a sliver.
Where the 30 comes from. If that early 10% is sold near migration, when the pool holds 85 SOL and the price is many times higher, the sell can return tens of SOL. The money comes from everyone who bought after.
Who is usually early. The dev, their bundle, and snipers. Not you. When you see a coin at 60% progress, assume the people who can sell 30 SOL into it already own their share.
What this means for you. Buying late on the curve is buying someone else's exit. If you buy late, buy small, and expect the early supply to sell into the first pump after migration.
The honest version. Being truly early is mostly luck and speed, and most early coins die with 3 SOL in. The lesson is not to chase early. It is to respect who already owns the supply.
