Protect yourself: the 60-second checklist

Six quick checks before any trade.

1. Does the CA match?. Copy the contract address from the project's own official page. Compare it with the coin you opened. If they differ, you are looking at a copy.

2. Liquidity versus market cap. Open the coin page and read both. Liquidity under 10% of market cap means a thin exit. The flag on the page does this check for you.

3. Age and holders. A coin that is minutes old with hundreds of holders deserves a second look. Check the top holders too. One wallet holding a big share is a warning.

4. Can people sell?. Look at the buys and sells count. If almost nobody has sold, ask why. Healthy coins have both buyers and sellers, and the sells show that exits work.

5. Who is calling it, and why?. Ask who gains if you buy. A loud post minutes after launch is often an ad. If the message pushes you to hurry, slow down. You can always wait.

6. Size it small. Risk only what you can lose. Keep each position small compared to the pool. Even a clean coin can fail. You are checking odds, not seeking certainty. You now have a routine, and that already puts you ahead.
