Fake airdrops

Free tokens, expensive click.

Free tokens. Expensive click. Fake airdrops are bait. A message says you qualify, a polished site asks you to connect and claim, and the claim is a drainer.

Nobody gives away money by DM. Real airdrops rarely message you first. The pitch arrives where you cannot verify it: DMs, replies, strange tokens in your wallet.

Send SOL to verify is the scam. No real airdrop charges you to receive it. If a claim asks for SOL first, or a seed phrase ever, you have your answer.

Did you apply, or did it find you? Airdrops you earned show up on the project's own site. Airdrops that chase you are selling something.

The 30-second check. Did you sign up, or did it find you. Does the claim need a signature you cannot read. Does it ask for SOL or a seed phrase. Is the site linked from the project's own account

Real airdrops go to wallets that did something: held a token, used a protocol, joined early. They rarely announce themselves by DM and never charge a fee to receive. Fake ones arrive unasked, link to a polished copy of a real site, and end in a drainer signature or a request to send SOL first. Unknown tokens dropped into your wallet with a website in the name are the same lure; leaving them alone costs nothing.
